Of all the NHL Goalie Highlight reel saves....how many do you think are just luck ?

I'm a huge hockey fan,....but sometimes when I watch the highlights (every night, then in the morning again) and the commentators or whoever talk about an AMAZING save......





Sometimes it just looks so obvious that really, the Player pretty much shot the puck into the goalies glove, pad, blocker, stick.


Of all the NHL Goalie Highlight reel saves....how many do you think are just luck ?
I miss the old hockey days!! You know before the strike when it was about the game not money..


But to the question.. I think for the most part people are amazed at the save because the puck is hit so hard.. sometimes around the 90 mph.. si they think it is a great save and sometimes it is shear lock!!Of all the NHL Goalie Highlight reel saves....how many do you think are just luck ?
Mostly its their anticipation and positioning taking away the openings. I'd put luck and around 25%. It would be interesting to see what percentage a foward would come out with.
just as many as all the bull shots that go in that make onto the HONor roll.
It's instint and luck.
