When you watch the tv, you are viewing the picture chosen by the director in the van who is watching as many as 24 screens. (which you already know when you watch a replay and they show many different angles of the play that you did not see in real time) Because today is digital and thus storage is not an issue all 24 screens are saved.

Producers who wish to make the kind of shows you talk about, buy the rights to use they already preserved footage. They then edit and cut to their own use.

Good Luck

What is the greatest sports highlight ever?

i was watching SPorts center and was thinking: what was the greatest sports highlight ever?

I think it was Mike Eruzione's goal against the Soviet Union to put the U.S. ahead of the 1980 semi-finals 4 to 3.

If you don't think this was best highlight ever and you're an American then, you have no pride in America and you obviously have no Idea how huge this was. What is the greatest sports highlight ever?
Well mate, I'm not American and I didn't even know they played Football against the USSR in 1980. I thought there were boycotts beyond the Olympics.

So what's the best Sports highlight ever? Owen Finnegan scoring the winning try in the 1999 Rugby World Cup. Nothing like a big forward pack smashing a small one.

Fitting that the best Rugby player ever, John Eales, lifted the World Cup as captainWhat is the greatest sports highlight ever?
I'm an American %26amp; I don't think that was the greatest sports highlight ever, not because I'm not proud of being an american, but because I wasn't born @ that point in time(I was born in 87). I honestly can't pick ONE highlight from my knowledge though.

No. Many adults have blonde highlights. I know a woman in her mid thirties who has those and it looks professional, but chic.If I got blonde highlights would I look like a little kid? Cause that's not the look I'm going for.?
If you stray too far from your coulor that you have now, sometimes highlights can look very fake looking. Try to comeup with a coulor that is one to three shades lighter. If I got blonde highlights would I look like a little kid? Cause that's not the look I'm going for.?

i can't get a relaxer either, but if i must i'll try to persuade my guardian.i have short bangs that go to the right but it covers my eyebrow and i get my hairdone by a stylist but i want to get choppy layers.i use to get them but if i get them i dont no if my hair will fall out.but now i get deep conditioners.of their is any products i could use to achieve to obtain this goal please give me the names.I'm a black emo kid have short basic black hair and i want the hair but i can't get it dyed or highlighted?
you realize that you are just being a poser if you are only concerned about your hair?....emo is so much more than how your hair looks and honestly if you want to fit the trend you wouldnt even care about it..and to be brutally honest ive never seen a black kid pull off the emo style....just be yourself and stop trying to be something youre not because chances are its not gonna work for you

I have suddenly got red highlights and this emo kid called me an emo wannabe? how can i not look like one?

    Don't worry about him.

    Everything is 'emo' nowadays.

So when he calls you an 'emo wannabe', you tell him he is an ***.

:DI have suddenly got red highlights and this emo kid called me an emo wannabe? how can i not look like one?
    hey ';isis';!

    i care what i think!

SO THERE.I have suddenly got red highlights and this emo kid called me an emo wannabe? how can i not look like one?
I really wouldn't worry about it. It could just be the style of your hair so a hair cut would probably do the trick. But if you really like it the way it is, don't change it! Good luck! :)
Just tell him you wouldnt stoop that low as to look like ';one of them'; . lol. j/k

Maybe its your hairstyle? What kind of cut do you have?
tell him to shut up and not worry about it! if you like your hair then who cares what anyone else thinks! He's probably just jealous!
just where preppy clothes or something totally opposite of emo he'll catch on
Smile and talk about how great your life is.
Who cares what they think...they're emo...
tell him emo has been dead since the 90's.
It doens't matter what he thinks. You should wear your hair how ever you want.
tell that kid to shut his trap,

i bet soon you will see that kid with red highlights aswell
put it in curls, and wear non-black for a while
    shave ur head!

  • Do you think it's OK for little kids like 6 years old or 4 to get highlights/color their hair?

yeah, if thats how they feel they want to express them selves. I would let them do it.

I would set a limit, like no blues and greens. I still would let them get a little funky if they wanted too. Maybe like a wacky red..

It is just hair.Do you think it's OK for little kids like 6 years old or 4 to get highlights/color their hair?
It depends on the parents and kids. I love doing what i call fun things with my hair color. Once in a great while I'll use a little bleach on one of my kids' hair. Actually, they were older than that, though...

It can look cute on little boys to have tips, or little highlights that look pretty natural. Especially in summer, if they get tan or something???

Then again...it can look super tacky, if they're made up to look like a little grown-up; Or if a snotty mom has her little girl's hair colored and styled exactly like hers. (Rolls eyes)Do you think it's OK for little kids like 6 years old or 4 to get highlights/color their hair?
no, thats too young. kids that young shouldnt have to color their hair because they shouldnt be thinking that they constantly have to change themselves to become acceptable. A child that age should be happy with themselves and any parent that lets a child color their hair is crazy. its all about self image, a kid that age needs to learn to be themselves not die their hair blonde to look like paris hilton.
    Sure do!

Granted, it's not good for kids that young to get color in their hair, it damages it REAL bad, but I've had it done most of my life. (Mom's a hairstylist)

I want low lights in my 5 yr old's hair...She PLATINUM blonde, and I'd like to see her with alittle light brown.

Just have to talk her ';Grandma'; into doing it.
No, I think it'd make them obsessed with their looks. I saw on some TV show about this 5-year-old who wouldn't leave the house without make-up. Yikes!
no, i thenk it makes them vain 鈾?simple cuts intil their liek 13. kids shouldnt worry about their looks, there are pleanty of years ahead for that!!
    definitely not!!!

my messed up friends mom wants her four year old kid to get highlights!! luckily the kid doesn't want them
nope, because i'm not even allowed to do it! my friend's sister got them for the first time in pre-k!!!
No it will damage their hair ands then they will just want it more and more!!
Of course not!! its not good for anyone to colour their hair coz it has the chemical which can make u bald over a period of time especially for the young coz they are very delicate n it will damage their scalp, hair, etc....

moreover y do they need to colour their hair??

oh and hobbs--i support u wholeheartedly
No, I think that's way too young. Teenage years are more appropriate.
No, I think it is way too young. I feel it says the adult taking them is not happy with them the way they are.

My 10 year old daughter has a friend that gets highlights and think she is too young! I allowed my oldest to get them at age 14.
    No
everybody says that it's their choice, but they are little kids, and if you let them dye their hair, you're basically telling them that the body that god gave them is not good enough for them, in fact, i don't support any body of any age getting their hair dyed.
no ithink its wrong. Childrens hair is soooo beautiful as it is why wreck it with harsh chemicals especially if you put blonde in their hair you'll strip all life out of it......
Not good teachings for the future.

    They will always want them.
    I assume you are joking...

You don't want a kid who is made up like Tammy Faye Baker in kindergarten!
    No,I feel that it's wrong.
As long as they've got enough dough to tip the colorist.
no, thats to young!! I had to wait till i was 14 to get to color/highlight my hair :) lol
No little kids look bad when they have highlights so young

and i feel the parents are going to let those kids to do whatever they want. I've seen a lot of little kids with highlights
no, little kids are meant to be cute, sometime awkward, but natural...why would you put highlights in their hair?
well, little kids shouldnt get it done until their a bit older cause their hair will get damaged at such an early age.
    NO.

    NO

    NO

It's way to damaging to their hair.

I say keep that for the teenagers.
    no, i don't! that's WAY too young!!!

My hair is naturally black, and I want some red highlights. Will this look scare the kids? I'm a kindergarten

...teacher, so it matters!!!My hair is naturally black, and I want some red highlights. Will this look scare the kids? I'm a kindergarten
You'll be the coolest teacher to those kids. They wont be scared. Kid's are open minded. It's not until people grow up that they become close minded and judgmental. I think they'll love it!My hair is naturally black, and I want some red highlights. Will this look scare the kids? I'm a kindergarten
depends on which shade of red you are using! if you go for mild tones then it wont be a problem but try not to go for shocking red! %26amp; also keep ur complexion in mind while choosing the hair color, it should compliment you
It'll provoke alot of questions: Whyyyyy
There are ways to make it look less choppy. If you go to a hair stylist, ask them to make it look more natural by sweeping the color in rather than using a cap or chunks of your hair in foils. I don't think that would scare your kids, they usually react well to creative things!
Black hair with red highlights is an awesome look!

I don't know if you'll necessarily scare them, they're not babies...but you may upset some parents if you go too wild.

Try a toned down red and make it crazier as we get closer to Summer.
I have black hair with red streaks and i love it. It doesnt look scary at all, when i walk down the street i actually get quite a lot of comments about how nice people think it looks =) The kids wont mind, theyll probably think your awesome for having black and red hair, do it! definitely!
Nah they will probably think it looks nice,or just warn them beforehand your getting your hair done.
    don't be stupid....

Find a new job.....when questions about hair color are going to affect the lives of young children and you question yourself......you are done.
they're kids...you have to wait and see. im sure it wont scare them for pete's sake but they will have something to say depending on how BRIGHT you get them.
    i dont think so..
No kids love that. I had bright purple/red hair and all the kids came up to me to look at me, one asked me if I was a clown.
i thnk it depend 2 ur hair style.if was big like afro or something,it will scare the kids.but its bwas normal long hair its ok
i think i would be scared if i was in kindi, try blonde instead on red
It depends on what kind of highlights you want. For a more subtle, refined look, go for a deep burgundy red. But, if you're going for crazy...go for the brighter colored reds.
~ Try some hair extensions first... easily removed... no damage to your hair color... if the kids don't freak-out... if the Principal doesn't can you... You'll be happy...

~ Then, you can do it for real... and know they're ok with it.
Try temporary, washable hair color for few streaks, and if you consider that it is well accepted, go for more permanent highlights.
It wont scare the kids, in kintergarten I don't think they know what is ';politically acceptable'; as far as social standards for hair color... they are not yet jaded by conformist views and will only think your hair is fun the way the red will contrast with the black. Its funny how children can be far more accepting sometimes even though they are far more honest.
i dont think itll scare them.......if it were me, id think u were the coolest, prettiest teacher EVER!!!
I'm sure the kids won't mind, but it's possible that some parents or school administrators might, or might look down on or group you in a certain way if you do. I think that's ridiculous, and you should be able to do what you want with your appearance to a reasonable degree, but I know in some schools they don't even want the teachers to wear certain clothes. If it's really the kids you're worried about, don't worry at all. But if you're worried about other teachers, parents, or the administration, try a test run or ask someone you work with what they think the reaction would be. Be cautious, because I'm sure you love your job and wouldn't want people in the school making your life difficult because they have some preconceived notions about people using bright colors on their hair.
it wuld look punky, um ew
Personaly, I would NOT do it. If even one child is frightened or upset, it would not be worth it.

    I don't know

Can anyone recommend a magazine for kids 5-12? I no longer subscribe to Highlights.?

I recently canceled my subscription to Hightlights for Children Magazine. Over the years it has included more and more spiritual/religious content. The November issue contained a very detailed description about the celebration of ';the day of the dead';.

Being a Christian, I object to the introduction of that sort of material to my youngsters (ages 2,6,8,10,12), particularly without a Christian perspective. I could site other examples (including an introduction to Ramadan a few months ago).

I would like to find a magazine for ages 5-12 that is explicitly Christian, with a Christian leaning, or neutral in terms of religion. Any help would be very much appreciated. Can anyone recommend a magazine for kids 5-12? I no longer subscribe to Highlights.?
Pack O Fun is good - sometimes they have Bible crafts, but not all the time. I didn't know that stuff happened to Highlights - it used to be so good, but I haven't taught elementary school in a long time, so I've been away from it...

There's a kids' National Geographic, but I don't know the name. I've seen a few issues and they look great. Can anyone recommend a magazine for kids 5-12? I no longer subscribe to Highlights.?
Hmmm...well if your kids are girls, you might try American girls. They operate similairly to the girl scouts and I know the girl scouts are a Christian group. Anywho, it's a really wholesome magazine.

If you want something that's neutral try Sports illustrated for kids, discovery for kids, ummm....That's all I can think of right now.
the one right before ester every year is a very christian perspective.

my family has always had a respect for what others beleve, and we think its great to see some thing from another perspective. (i know i have bad spelling) i dont know why you are so offended with highlights for showing what other people beleve, do you beleve in freedom of speach? or do you beleve people should have freedom of speach only when you agree with every thing they say?
What have you got against your kids learning about other belief systems? How horrible of you.
mY CHILDREN ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE ';FRIEND';.

once a month for only 8$ a year. AND CHRISTIAN BASED.
i was going to suggest nickelodeon magazine, but then i read the details in the question. never mind that, i'm not sure about the cleanliness of nickelodeon magazine. my daughter, 5, has a subscription to zoobooks. it's pretty good!
http://monroe.lib.in.us/childrens/kidsma鈥?/a> This site lists several magazines for children. It also gives websites where you can learn more about each magazine. I'm sure most are religious neutral, but please don't confuse learning about a foreign (unknown) culture the same as anti-christian. Learning what other people believe is NOT a bad thing. The Day of the Dead is simply a celebration of loved ones who have passed on, try to be a little more open minded, and allow your children to learn about other cultures. You can explain that you do not believe that, and do not celebrate it and you can explain why. (not just ';cuz I said so';.)
    ZOOBOOKS! yay
I am glad to know this. I recently got a letter from my christian private school. They were advertising 15.00 subscriptions but when highlights sent the bill it was 20,00 so I said no thanks and cancelled. I notice alot of christians are promoting ';worldly exposure'; to our young kids. My sons private school is encouraging interest in worldly events. I kinda dont like it. I think texans are proud of texas because our teachers didnt give a dam about other states so we just knew about texas and thought we were the best. Of course you learn more in high school and college but that pride stayed with us. good luck in finding a magizine. I would like to know if you find one.

Anyone know of any sites that show the dangers of dying kids hair? My ex had my 7 y.o.'s hair highlighted.?

I'm against it because of the whole image thing and it causing her to want to grow up to soon, but I was looking for details on the physical damages it could cause. Thank you!!Anyone know of any sites that show the dangers of dying kids hair? My ex had my 7 y.o.'s hair highlighted.?
Yea that's a really messed up thing to do. It won't cause any damage though. Maybe dry her hair out a little. I would definitely talk to him and let him know it wasn't right. But after that just let it go! She might end up feeling guilty if there's a fight about her. And maybe let her know that this is only a one time thing. It will grow out soon enough. Good Luck!Anyone know of any sites that show the dangers of dying kids hair? My ex had my 7 y.o.'s hair highlighted.?
Wow! That's totally wrong. It dries up your hair. What more, a seven year old virgin hair. Just talk to your ex about it. Talk to your kid about it. Saying it's not right and she's too young. She can do it when she grows up.

    Answer mine, please? (:

thats so nice of you to do something like that ive never heard of those charities/companies?? im not sure what they are but i really doubt having highlights would make it a problem if your highlights are old are your hair is in good condition im guessing it would be fine

once again thats really nice of you, you sound like a good person

good luck!! =]I have highlights can I donate my hair to locks of love, wigs for kids ect. ?
Yes you can. You can donate hair that is colored or permed. My 7 year old niece just donated her hair to the Locks of Love. I think it's a great opportunity! Good luck and thanks if you do, do it.
if its haelthy and just feels natural you can donate
you have to have completely virgin hair. no color, perms, or anything.
I thought you had to have virgin hair or something???
no you need to have virgin hair
this is from the locks of love site

    GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTABLE DONATIONS

Hair that is colored or permed is acceptable.

Hair cut years ago is usable if it has been stored in a ponytail or braid.

Hair that has been bleached (usually this refers to highlighted hair) is not usable. If unsure, ask your stylist. We are not able to accept bleached hair due to a chemical reaction that occurs during the manufacturing process.

Hair that is swept off of the floor is not usable because it is not bundled in a ponytail or braid.

Hair that is shaved off and not in a ponytail or braid is not usable. If shaving your head, first divide hair into multiple ponytails to cut off.

We cannot accept dreadlocks. Our manufacturer is not able to use them in our children鈥檚 hairpieces. We also cannot accept wigs, falls, hair extensions or synthetic hair.

Layered hair is acceptable if the longest layer is 10 inches.

Layered hair may be divided into multiple ponytails.

Curly hair may be pulled straight to measure the minimum 10 inches.

10 inches measured tip to tip is the minimum length needed for a hairpiece.
If you truly have highlights (blond and bleached), then no. None of the organizations will accept it. Locks of Love will sell it and use the money to help offset its costs for wig making, etc. Not entirely sure what any of the other groups would do.

You could consider giving it to something like Matters of Trust, which makes oil spill mats out of human hair. They don't care what condition it's in.
Yes you can. It does not matter what your hair looks like, it just matters that it is hair and you are giving it to a good cause.
    got this off the site:

They are trying to get you to subscribe to the magazine. You do get a free issue. BUT YOU MUST CANCEL IT. It's going to cost you whatever the going rate of a first class stamp to do that. If you don't cancel it, they can charge you and cause you all kinds of pain. It can damage your credit rating.
they probably had it worded in small print that you would get a trial issue and then if you didn't cancel it would automatically start your subscription. Can you find the hidden picture of the company screwing you? haha I'd just cancel it by calling or emailing them
Don't pay. They will stop sending the magazine. They can't do anything else.

Can a 10 yr old kid highlight or dye her hair any color?

plz tell him cuz i hav a 10 yr old daughter dat wantz to dye her hair pink lik Avril lavaine but i dunt knoe if it iz okCan a 10 yr old kid highlight or dye her hair any color?
I let my 12 year old put in temporary pink highlights one year for her birthday. The school sent her home and said the hairstyle was too disruptive. She was not allowed back until the color was gone. My advice is to let her wait until high school. ';Standing out'; too much in elementary school is never a good idea. Even if the school okays it, it may make her a target with her peer group.

By the way, you can ask for yourself. It's obvious that you aren't an adult. Can a 10 yr old kid highlight or dye her hair any color?
As soon as you figure it out let me know...

    The answer is, ';Hells No';
Don't dye it! That can end up damaging the hair.

U should just do highlights or get that stuff from the store that eventually washs out in the shower

    Good Luck!
its okay, if you the parent says it is
    No
fist as a mother learn to speak english please. then you tell her you're the parent, you set the rules.
only with permission from a parent

like piercing an ear or getting a tattoo
of course they can...but i wouldnt recommend it...and if you are going to do it...take her to a professional.
    yes

but it really depends on what school she goes to

My old school doesn't care what color ur hair is and there is a 11 year old has a rain bow mohawks hair but my school here in Texas won;t let u dye ur hair in a unatrual color even the school in high school becuz they are stupid.

I'm dying my hair green in the summer

    cuz of my ******* school
The parents sets the boundaries. If they don't want her to dye her hair pink then they should say no. I wouldn't let a ten year old permanently dye her hair pink

You could try a temporary dye like Streekers. You can apply it, let her wear it for a day or two then wash it out.
I highly recommend something temporary that can be removed for formal occasions and school.

There are many products to temporarily turn hair pink that wash out. They have special gels and hair sprays that you can use to add color that shampoo right out. Also you can hair clips with fake pink wig hair that you pin in your real hair, and pink extensions that you can later take out.

a kid of ten? its abuse. they are only kids, when they reach 15/17. that's when they can make choices.it is up to them. if you do this for her/your vanity, sorry, your wrong
My mom started to let me get perms-which I think can count as highlights since it's a permanent hair style for several months, when I was 13. Personally, I think pink is a little out there,LOL.
Only if she has plankton for parents.
Well, it may not be appropriate, but it is one way for a kid to show indiviulaity and personality. Unless the school they attend has a policy against unnatural hair color, it's probably harmless (if you go to a salon, where the chemicals may not be too abrasive for a developing and likely sensitive scalp).
    No, not old enough.

It seems like buying hairdye is the least of your problems.
Pink sounds cute, and not too adult.

maybe its just a phase for her.
I don't think she should do it by herself, but it's not going to hurt her.
I think it just depends on parents decisions.

Or unless it's against school dress code.
    NO WAY
well it is okay, but do a strand test first to see if she has an allergic reaction to the product, other than that i dont see the harm
    its ok

    its self-expression
cmon!!..way to young..you allow that her ego well go sky high.
My girls both get their hair highlighted, but the schools they attend won't let kids have an ';unnatural'; color in their hair...so, no pink, no blue, etc...my girls both get blonde and red streaks. They are ages 10 and 13.
Yes, provided the parent approves. My daughter dyed her hair pink and blue at 12. I figured it was better to let her get it out of her system while she is young and all the kids are weird than to have her trying things like this later in life when it could hamper her job opportunities.
Sure!!! Any age can dye his/ her hair. Some advice though, don't get any in his/ her eyes. I hope you found the answer you were looking for.
    no you cant
Pink's a cool color and you woun't lose her in a crowed so her mom should be grateful. I say let her do what she wants and if she doesn't like it she can always dye it back!
No it's not. At 10yrs old you HAVE to die it Grey/Silver. At 11 yrs old your allowed to die it Green. 12 you able to die it purple, 13 you not allowed to die it at all, 14 you can dye it turqiouse, and 15 your hair will probably fall out from all the dying done prior to that age.
yah why not by the way avril lavigne rocks

    Highlighting kids hair?

My daughter has been begging to get highlights for a really long time, (shes 11) and so I did really pretty brownish red highlights in her black hair. She's happy, my husband is happy and I am happy. They are just a couple of streaks and they are permanent. I am crazy for doing this?Highlighting kids hair?
of course not! lots of little kids i know who are that age and even younger get their hair dyed and streaked and such. Just make sure not to go over board! Don't worry, your daughter should be fine! i suggest ColorPulse by L'Oreal if she really wants to get her hair dyed again.Highlighting kids hair?
no ur not crazy if everyones happy then its ok chill ur not crazy
    No.

My hair dye is permanent too.

Why is everyone so obsessed with kids making fun of names? There are always 5 answers that highlight this idea?

Sure it is important but why is it the overriding factor when selecting a name? I am tired of hearing how kids will make fun of a name. My brother and I never got made fun of nor did we make fun of anybody. Why is everyone so obsessed with kids making fun of names? There are always 5 answers that highlight this idea?
This really annoys me because it doesn't always happen. I have 8 kids with different names and none of them have EVER been teased because of their names.

My kids love their different names and have always been the only child at the WHOLE school with that name.

The kids that get teased generally have an underlying cause or a meek personality.

I would rather my kids be original than just another sheep in the class. At least people remember my kids and always for the right reason. Why is everyone so obsessed with kids making fun of names? There are always 5 answers that highlight this idea?
Because we live in a society that strives on social approval. Plain and simple. Some people might try to push the boundaries and be ';different'; claiming they do not care....but in the end it's always a factor no matter how hard we try to claim it isn't. Especially the younger generations. Yahoo answers is a prime example of this. People come on here to ask questions to others to make sure they are doing something properly, to see what others think of names they chose for their children/pets/etc. we are all looking for approval. If we didn't care we wouldn't be posting these questions because other peoples' opinions wouldnt matter. But the fact is that they do, whether we care to admit it or not.

So why are people obsessed with kids making fun of their children for their names? Because it is a reality that they will have to deal with. Yes, not everyone makes fun of others and depending on your situation and location your children may never encounter such situations. But it is a reality for many. I have a very common name and even I was made fun of for it during elementary school. It's just how kids are. You might think it is endearing to name your child Niycola because she will be different and unique-but in a society that strives for uniform uniqueness, she will wish she fit in better and probably end up changing her name when she turns 18.
I dunno why it's so important, i don't think it should be either, and i don't really think about it that much when picking names. If i like it, then to me that's all that really matters.

Plus i'll teach my kids to just ignore teasing and to not let it hurt them, cuz kids will be mean, but if they don't pick on u for ur name they find something else to pick on u about (if they don't like u). My parents did this with me and my siblings and it worked for us, so i think it'll work for my kids as well.

Hope this helps and i so totally agree with u, :D.

EDIT: Yup exactly, i totally agree, Everything or anything could ruin a kids life, and it is a parents job to guide a child through all that, :D.
For good reason, if you give your kid some dumb *** name they will get made fun of, that's just life. This in turn can be very bad for a child's self esteem.
I think its important. bullying is a growing issue today. why give the kids fuel to tease your child?

A calender highlights all your classmates bdays your class has 25 kids whats the probability that?

three wil be in the same month?A calender highlights all your classmates bdays your class has 25 kids whats the probability that?
You can do this for all of the Birthdays, and get reminders a few days before the event.

With your mail page open in Yahoo, click on the calendar tab. It will open in the left navigation bar, with tabs on the right to click on for each view.

    Click on the ';Event Lists'; tab. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list and click on ';Add Event.';

A form will open for you to add the information into your calendar. Fill out the form and click ';Save'; or Save and add another. Do this for each event you wish to add.

How old should a kid be to highlight their hair?

What age is a good age for a kid to get highlights? How old should a kid be to highlight their hair?
14How old should a kid be to highlight their hair?
Whatever age the parent feels comfortable with and the child wants...I'd say, at least 15 or 16...it's not cheap and it's not easily fixed, like makeup or something.
I have highlights and I'm 12 but I didn't get them done professionally so 14
    16
I think that is a decision best left up to the parents. I know some parents that have hilighted their daughter's hair, and this girl could have been no older than 4 years old!

But if it is the child that wants the hilights, I would sit down and discuss the pros and cons - like hair drying out and looking frizzy, the cost of touch-ups, the chemicals and the pros of having something new and different done to your hair, the increase level of confidence (if that applies).

If the child is young and wants hilights, maybe suggest a way of earning the money themselves to get the hilights, then they will realize the financial burden of getting them done and also learn a little bit about financial responsibility, too!

Another option is to get the packaged hilights and help your child to do them - it could be a fun and great bonding moment with your kid!
    ehh about 13.
    Like 12, 13, or 14.
    like 13-ish.

i'd say 12 is a bit too young, and if your child wants them when they're 15, its definately the time to let them do it.
    13.
i'd say from 12 and on. it might damage ur hair badly if ur too yung

  • Should Kids Be able to i am Bleach, Dye, or highlight there hair?

My mom Wont let me do ANYTHING to my dark brown hair and i need to convence her it is ok for teens to color there hairShould Kids Be able to i am Bleach, Dye, or highlight there hair?
Depends on how old you are.

If you're 13 years old, it's pretty much too young to try to look like whatever skank it is you people look up to.

If you're 15...it's getting a little different and you're growing up, but your parents still have final say because you're a minor and you live in their house. Don't like it then move out.

By 17, most parents back off. If not, it's only a year til you can do as you like anyway.Should Kids Be able to i am Bleach, Dye, or highlight there hair?
its really not ok for anyone to color their hair -- its bad for your scalp and your hair folicles. sorry but that is the truth. you can try using caps to cover your scalp and pulling bits through -- that is 1000 times better. think streaks and highlights and not all over colors. i suggest your mom go to a good hairstylist who will give her all the facts so she can make a good decision.

other than that when you turn 18 you can go to walmart and bleach your hair till it all falls out and you mutate your folicles until you grow fine fuzz like a 98 yr old.
If you can't figure out how to spell ';their'; correctly, then no, you shouldn't be able to dye your hair, because it would mess up your brain too much.

    Highlight kids hair?

we are having a superbowl party, and i would like to put some blue highlights in my girls hair. the stores are all out of any kind of blue color. is there a way i could do it @ home maybe food coloring or i have even heard of koolaid.their hair is a medium brown plaz help. i just need something temporary, nothing permanent. i just need to know what to do and how to do it. thnx.Highlight kids hair?
Why not just ponytails in their hair with blue bows and ribbons or something?Highlight kids hair?
Kool-Aid works well and usually washes out in 1-2 washes.
Hmm... Since their hair is darker I don't know if any of those dye methods would come out very bright. Maybe you can find some clip-on hair extensions in blue. Check out a beauty-supply, party supply, costume shop, or kid's jewelry store like ';Claire's'; for something like that.
    Leave those kids alone.
food coloring works but takes a while to wash out. use the spray on kind from sallys or beauty co
Go to Sally's Beauty Supply, they should have that ';spray paint'; hair color. Good Luck!
dont use kool-aid or food coloring, it doesn't wash out easily. either get the gel or spray stuff from sally beauty supply
IF the general stores are out of it, I would check your local Sally beauty supply. They sell to the general public. Or Supercuts sells alot of that stuff put in wash out. They are colored gels.
You can buy hair gel in different colors that washes out.
Try going to Sallys Beauty Supply. They have a brand called 'Beyond The Zone' with comb-in hair color. I get it for my son's faux-hawk ALL the time. We have every color under the sun. They also have little clip-in extensions in various colors. They are only about an inch wide and 3 or 4 come in a package. They have tiny little clips. You just lift up your hair, clip the extension under and lay the hair back down. Then, it just blends. Sometimes, depending upon the length of your own hair (or the childs) you have to trim the extension. BUT, they're very inexpensive - as is the comb in color. Good luck.
Koolaid can work but I don't know how well it will show up on brown hair. I would try the color hair gels.
Get a blue baseball cap or a wig. My daughter loves to paint her face - maybe a little face paint of a blue football on her cheek. You can usually pick up cheap face paint in almost any toy section of the a super store.

College kids, do you highlight in your text books?

Should the cost of used books with highlighted crap in it be less expensice at a used book store than non highlighted books. Please state your reasoning.College kids, do you highlight in your text books?
Absolutely not. If anything, the highlighted sections should be worth more because they indicate the important material that will most likely be on the test!College kids, do you highlight in your text books?
Or the owner of the book highlighted stupid crap that's not relevant to anything. You shouldn't always rely on other people's notes; that is how you end up screwing yourself over. Report Abuse

No, my mother is a librarian - you don't write in books! Ingrained from an early age. I always hit the bookstore early to get the non-highlighted used books. But they have the same price as the other used books. I don't think campus bookstores have the time or manpower to assign a different used price for every book - if it's new it's this price, if it's been brought back it's less.
Not at the bookstore (eri is right, they don't have the manpower for that), but online a very highlighted book is cheaper than a barely touched book.
I don't highlight, make notes or scratch my textbooks for the possibility that I might be able to sell them later on.

Used and clean books can be sell for more money than used but destroyed books....that's logic!
    I don't know what expensice means ... but ... yes ... ?

    ';edit'; I forgot to mention I'm a spelling/grammar whore. :P
